Day of Prayer

Yesterday (Saturday) the church was open for prayer and various people came.  I hope that others prayed where they were.

Christian Aid Week

Between 12 and 18 May, C4K will take part in the annual collection for the charity Christian Aid.  In Knaphill alone, last year the fantastic amount of nearly £3000 came in.  This year we are again looking for volunteers.  Can you please do one of three things:

  • collect outside Waitrose in Goldsworth Park on Saturday 11th May
  • collect house to house in a road in Knaphill
  • offer your address as a ‘Drop Box’ for a deliver-only collection?

If so, please contact Lynda Shore or me.

Fleet Baptist Church

This church is with us in SEBA.  They have adopted the theme ‘This House…is a house of welcome’ and in the SEBA News they write:

‘Time and again over the last few years, many have remarked upon our gift of welcoming people into our church community. It has been so encouraging! … the sense of welcome has been beautifully tangible. As a church we give thanks for the love, warmth and acceptance that has not only grown within our church family but is spilling out into the community and beyond.

Because of this, we are seeing our church family grow and diversify. We are seeing salvations, baptisms, and greater relational connections alongside, of course, the many challenges that go along with all of this! Right now, we are about to embark upon a season of Alpha, and alongside our usual evening course we are debuting a daytime course. We would really appreciate prayer for both adventures. For the teams that are running them and for those that attend. We would also appreciate prayer for wisdom and consistency as we learn how to effectively disciple those who have been added to us.

May our welcome be the grace-filled, hope-packed, love-eternal welcome that only Christ can bring.’
