Climate Sunday 2021

Climate SundayChurches across the UK have been invited to hold a climate-focused service on any Sunday before COP26 is held in Glasgow in November 2021. The vision is to leave a lasting legacy of thousands of churches better equipped to address this critical issue as part of their discipleship and mission and to make a significant contribution to civil society efforts to secure adequate national and international action at COP26.

So it was really good to hear from Tear Fund this Sunday, taking their message from Jesus reminder to the disciple that they can do all things if they trust in him in Matthew 17:14-20. Jack used the example of Esther; when confronted with a urgent need to save her people turned first to prayer before taking action that could have resulted in her own death. Jack challenged us to pray and then take action, however small, as every action makes a difference.
