There was a notice outside a church which had a large picture of an open Bible, and written alongside were the words, ‘Go buy the Book … and then go by the Book!’ There is, of course, much to be said about how we make right use of the Bible and to interpret it but what is most important is that we read it! It is no good to us if we leave our Bibles unopened, gathering dust on the shelf.
